    TITLE:  LABOR COMPLIANCE INTERN

SUMMARY: INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY - SUMMER 2018 (UNPAID)

Under the direction of the Labor Compliance Manager, this summer internship will support the Division's living wage compliance protocols. The intern will work primarily with the Labor Compliance Manager to process living wage documents as they are received and to identify living wage contracts that previously have not been catalogued. The intern will assist in the management of a database tracking mandatory quarterly reporting. Some vendor outreach may be required.  The intern will also assist in matters pertaining to the Living Wage Advisory Committee and will be in attendance at all monthly meetings. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in economic justice to learn about one of the nation's first living wage ordinances. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about municipal procurement, how community process shapes local policy, and will receive hands-on vendor relations experience.
