Under the oversight of YOU Boston Staff the Program Operations Intern will assist in all areas related to the organization and implementation of YOU Boston’s 2018 Youth Summer Jobs Program. Duties will includes, but are not limited to:
General Summer Programming Support
Support youth and staff in intake and processing, professional development sessions, and on-site programming.
Manage the collection of grant eligibility/payroll documentation and assist staff with the delivery of pre- and post-surveys.
Assist with the preparation of YOU Boston end of summer celebration events.
Travel to work sites to assist team supervisors and youth participants with special projects and curriculum exercises.
Data Entry Support-Efforts to Outcomes (ETO)
Support staff with daily/weekly data entry tasks using Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database as needed.
Enter referral and/or intake information for new youth.
Update participant payroll status and upload necessary documentation.
Assist with daily attendance collection and entry.
Help manage and update content for social media accounts and website.
Write and/or edit blog posts and youth profiles.
Take pictures of worksite activities and events.
Review incoming youth payroll documentation for accuracy and completion.
Organize hard-copy and electronic payroll filing system, ensure documentation is uploaded into shared electronic files.
Monitor the front desk area when needed, maintain agency safety protocol, direct all center guests and calls to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Note: This is an unpaid Internship
Candidates should have an interest in working with youth (ages 14-24). The preferred candidate must be experienced in working with the public, have a strong attention to detail, organizational, and administrative skills.
The internship site is located at the YOU Boston center in Dudley Square.
DATES OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: June 2018 to August 2018
Summer semester full or part-time unpaid internship available (minimum of 15 hours per week) with flexible hours and start date. Intern work schedule is open for discussion based on student and employer needs.
Participants in the Internship Program should be Undergraduate students, Graduate students or recent Graduates.
