DIVISION: ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE / FINANCE
STATUS: NON - EXEMPT
Under the direction of the Controller, the Agency is seeking aN Accountant, responsible for various general accounting functions which include: developing and running financial reports, preparing general ledger entries, balancing and reconciling accounts, monthly accounts receivable, budgeting and closing activities as well as administration & finance division projects.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, plus 3 years of full-time accounting or related experience in Accounting/Finance department. Expertise in General Ledger accounting systems (Financial Edge preferred) is required. Must have excellent administrative, organizational and office management skills, as well as strong financial and system skills. Must be proactive, strive for continuous improvement and possess ability to affect change. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and a problem solver. Strong prioritization skills to affect an orderly flow of accurate information within the Administration & Finance Division and to other parts of the organization are needed. Must have proficiency in Microsoft office suite and good oral and written communication skills.
