    The Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for supporting the Graphic Designers as well as serving the creative needs of the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the City of Boston. They will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following graphic design tasks:

    • Balance brand consistency with design innovation under the guidance of the Graphic Designers
    • Create marketing materials including flyers, templates, brochures, etc. for print and for web
    • Creation of staff nametags and room signs
    • Assist with the BRA’s new style guide
    • Maintain archive of images, digital assets, and other working products


    QUALIFICATIONS: Work requires current enrollment in, or recent graduation from, a graphic design program; a diverse portfolio; the ability to work independently and collaborate/brainstorm with the design team; and the ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines. Understanding of typography; strong organizational, communication, and time management skills; and attention to detail is a must.


    Strong technical skills and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (CS6 or higher), most importantly: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop; and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel are required. Experience with Adobe Lightroom, WordPress/Kentico, preparing files for print, digital asset management, and/or photography is a plus.


    DATES OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:  September 2018 to December 2018

    Fall Semester part-time paid Internship (20 hours per week).  Schedules open to discussion based on student and employer needs.


    Participants in the Internship Program should be an Undergraduate student, Graduate student or recent Graduate. Co-ops and Work Studies are encouraged.
