    Under the general direction of the Senior Program Manager for the Neighborhood Job’s Trust and the Tuition Free Community College program in the Office of Workforce Development, the Program Assistant will assist with tasks related to the Tuition Free Community College (TFCC) initiative by serving as a spring intern. This position will provide administrative support to the TFCC Program Manager as well as outreach to schools and youth based community organizations to present information on the Tuition Free Community College program. Specific tasks will include:

    • Process all new TFCC applications by downloading new applicants into master list and verify applicants meet initial eligibility requirements. Screen applicants for second round of verification with schools and community colleges


    • Develop solutions that may include online marketing tools, Facebook page, or other social media interface to ensure successful outreach to increase the number of TFCC applicants


    • Provide recommendations on the future development of a robust marketing strategy, including but are not limited to social media, website, app and/or virtual newsletter


    • Conduct outreach to prospective and current TFCC Students (via phone or email or in person site visits to schools or youth based community centers) to ensure their awareness of TFCC related events and opportunities


    • Research of various social media sites to assist in a strategic plan for determining what is the best form of outreach for TFCC and the Boston Bridge Program


    • Other duties as assigned

    Note: This is an unpaid Internship



    Proficiency using Microsoft excel, Google Docs and knowledgeable about various social media platforms and building spreadsheets. 


    DATES OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: January 2019 to May 2019

    Spring Semester full or part-time schedule available.  Flexible start and end dates; schedules open to discussion based on student and employer needs.


    Participants in the Internship Program should be Undergraduate students, Graduate students or recent Graduates.
