TITTLE: HOUSING COMPLIANCE INTERN
SUMMARY: INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY – Spring 2019 (UNPAID)
BPDA Housing Compliance unit oversees a portfolio of 2000+ affordable (income-restricted) rental and condo units in the city of Boston. The intern will provide technical assistance to staff and external stakeholders in documenting compliance with unit legal restrictions. Under the oversight of BPDA staff, interns will review household income certifications, leases, deeds, and associated paperwork, and will be responsible for updating tenant/owner files and database (Salesforce) records. Interns may assist with the creation of project and unit files as new developments are marketed for occupancy. Interns may have opportunities to tour newly-constructed units and conduct site visits for compliance-monitoring purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate or graduate students; must be available a minimum of 25 hours per week. Candidates should have an interest in housing, government administration, and/or finance. Database experience preferred.
DATES OF INTERNSHIP: January 2019 -May 2019 (flexible start and end dates); minimum 25 hours per week. Schedule open to discussion based on student and employer needs.
