Under the direction of the Deputy Director for Industrial Dev. & Commercial Leasing, this Summer Internship shall:
Interface directly with EDIC Tenants to Update records including but not limited to tenant employment composition in relation to City of Boston's Jobs Policy and applicable zoning
Assist staff with regular department leasing operations to include asset pricing and preparation of Letters of Intent, Board Memorandums and legal documents
Assist staff with regular property management and tenant relations issues and events, as needed.
Develop and implement marketing plans to attract users to available industrial real estate.
Assist in permitting and public approval processes for industrial tenants of BPDA owned property.
Provide third party consultation services to City of Boston Real Estate departments.
Develop and maintain appropriate property inventory files of available public and privately owned industrial real estate. Assist public and private interests in site location assistance and business attraction/retention.
Manage special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s level or Master’s level coursework or an interest in Real Estate Management or Public Administration. Candidates must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis in Excel and Word, and familiarity with Google mail.
DATES OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:June 2019 to August 2019.
Summer, unpaid Internship available (up to 28 hours per week) with flexible hours and start date. Intern work schedule is open for discussion based on student and employer needs.
Participants in the Internship Program should be Undergraduate students, Graduate students or recent graduates.
